I began my real estate career in 2004 as an assistant to the broker/owner of Hewitt Real Estate, a small boutique real estate company primarily serving the Villages Golf & Country Club, with an office conveniently located right outside the Villages gate.
I was unlicensed at the time but quickly realized that I loved real estate, so in June of 2005 I obtained my salesperson real estate license. I gained more knowledge and experience, becoming first the transaction coordinator and then adding office manager to my list of duties. In 2009 I started representing my own clients, and I took over the rental business in addition to my other duties.
In 2011 I obtained my real estate brokers license, and became the Buyer’s Broker for the office. I continued with my other duties, so as I got busier, I streamlined the transaction and office management process, moving away from paper files and over to an electronic, cloud-based system.
In 2013 the broker decided to sell the business, and I jumped at the chance to become the owner. After a period of transition, In November of 2016 I officially became the Broker/Owner of Hewitt Real Estate. To celebrate I gave the office a facelift by throwing out everything we didn’t need, adding new paint, carpet, lighting, office furniture, and creating a conference room in the back for signings and meetings.
In November of 2022 I changed the name of the company from Hewitt Real Estate to Curry & Associates Realtors. I am proud to have my name listed now after so many years of using the Hewitt Real Estate name. The office space is also changing as I spend more time working from home, but I still provide the same, great customer service and knowledge base.
I have sold homes outside the Villages as well, and my area of expertise ranges from the Evergreen area of San Jose up to Milpitas where I live, but my primary focus is the Villages. I am an expert in that community, and have many happy clients who live in this great community, either as owners or renters. Along with assisting buyers and sellers, I also help landlords to find tenants, tenants to find a place to live, and I offer property management services for rentals in the Villages. We are a full service company!
I am a native Californian, born and raised in San Jose. I graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. After working in the field for 9 years I left the workforce to raise my two children. When they were teenagers I decided it was time to go back to work. Since my computer science skills were hopelessly outdated, and I loved houses and working with people, I decided to go into real estate, and have never looked back!
I love real estate, and I have never-ending enthusiasm and patience. No matter how long it takes to find the perfect home, or how long it takes to prep a home to be listed for sale, I will be there every step of the way! I very much look forward to working with you!
